BACKGROUND: I have a Bachelor's Degree in music, but most of my professional career has been in technology and design. I spent more than 15 years as a Systems Administrator, and I have extensive experience with Web Design/Development work, as well as communications and social media. I successfully completed the University of Washington Certificate in fundraising management program in 2013.

PROFESSIONAL: I am employed as Executive Director of the Rainier Valley Historical Society, an organization dedicated to preserving, interpreting and sharing the history and heritage of Rainier Valley and Beacon Hill. I also fill the dual roles of Operations Manager and Music Librarian for Philharmonia Northwest, a Seattle orchestra under the baton of julia Tai. I am also Managing Director for Chamber Music Madness, a local nonprofit dedicated to the musical and personal development of young people within the brilliant tradition of classical chamber music.

VOLUNTEERING: From 2010 through November of 2012 I served on the Board of Directors for IGNITE Worldwide, an organization that works within the Seattle school system to encourage girls and young women to enter into STEM careers. I am currently serving as Board President for the Pat Graney Company, which creates, performs and tours new dance/installation works and conducts arts-based educational programming inside of women's prisons. I served on the Burien Arts Commission for 8 years, the last of thre eof which I served as Chair. I operate a group marketing/informational resource for local arts and artists called the Burien Culture Hub.
