Vishal Bagchi
Since receiving his Clinical Nutrition degree from the University of Texas, Vishal Bagchi has established himself as an authority on the subject of renal dietetics and other subjects related to diet and nutrition. He has made several presentations before the National Association of Nephrology Technicians (NANT), including "Fluid and Electrolytes Balance in Dialysis Patients" and "What You Should Know About Renal Nutrition." Vishal Bagchi has also presented at Fresenius Medical Care in Dallas, where he currently serves as a Renal Dietitian, on such topics as "Additives in Fast Food and TV Dinners" and "Phosphorus Additives."
Vishal Bagchi combines these regular public speaking engagements with skilled and dedicated patient care. At Fresenius Medical Care, he works closely with in-center staff and dietitians from the surrounding North Texas area, developing and implementing educational plans to improve patient nutrition. In this role, he successfully brought the center's nutritional parameters into the top 10%, and successfully completed a complex regulatory compliance plan set forth by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
In addition to his work at Fresenius Medical Care, Vishal Bagchi serves as a Renal Dietitian for Renal Ventures Management, also in Dallas. His prior history includes services as a Clinical Educator with Shire Pharmaceuticals and as a Critical Care Dietitian with the University of Texas Southwestern Hospital, St. Paul and Zale. He has also undertaken a number of administrative leadership roles, including three years as Fresenius Medical Care's informal lead dietitian for the North Texas Region. He currently serves as the Chairman of the National Kidney Foundation's Council for Renal Nutrition.
Vishal Bagchi holds a Clinical Nutrition degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas. In addition, he has completed extensive clinical training at several leading medical centers in Texas, such as Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children's Medical Center of Dallas, Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center, UT Southwestern Hospital, and Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
