Vishal H. Sunak

After 5 years working as a Systems Engineer in the defense industry designing, building and testing high tech gadgets for things that fly... I decided to pursue my life-long dream of working in technology-based startups and move back to the city I love (Boston).

In order to accomplish this, I enrolled in the Startup Institute Boston Fall 2012 class in the Software Development track. I learned a bunch of full stack technologies for mobile and web applications such as Ruby on Rails, Objective-C, javascript frameworks, and emerging database designs.

I now can say that my dreams have been realized - I work at Backupify as an Operations Engineer helping to integrate various software systems to capture key analytics and insights into our business and also as a Product Manager, developing new software tools for SaaS applications.

I'm a New England Patriots fanatic, musician and Fantasy Football champion.
