[if gte mso 9]>Al-Masjid al-Aqsa (in Jerusalem) was the first of the twoqiblahs, and is one of the three mosques to which people may travel for thepurpose of worship and it is the Second House of Allah on Earth. Masjid al-Aqsais not only the Qibly mosque (with the silver/black dome) or the Dome of theRock. It is also known as Bayt al-Maqdis or Bayt al-Muqaddas (House of theHoliness). It was here that in around 621 CE the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) cameon the night journey from Makkah riding on the Buraq. The Prophet (saw) said, "You should notundertake a special journey to visit any place other than the following threeMasjids with the expectations of getting greater reward: the Sacred Masjid ofMakkah (Ka'bah), this Masjid of mine (the Prophet's Masjid in Madinah), andMasjid Al-Aqsa.
