Vatché Iskedjian

My name is Vatché Iskedjian and I’m a professional translator since 1986. After graduating at the Université de Montréal with an Honors B.A. in Translation, I arrived in Toronto to start my translation career. My first job was at Warner-Lambert where I had the chance to work on some national brands such as Trident, Dentyne, Benylin, Benadryl to name a few. Afterwards, I moved to another multinational, Nestlé Canada, where I continued to gain experience in consumer goods, marketing and labels.

While doing some freelance work, I was approached by The Business Depot to join their team as an external solution with an internal presence. I helped the company grow its business in Quebec and grew my team as the needs of The Business Depot (later renamed Staples) grew in that province.

While my main field of studies was translation, I also completed a Certificate in Advertising degree from Ryerson in the early 1990s, and am midway in the Certificate in Digital Strategy & Communications Management program at the University of Toronto.

I’m the owner of V.I. Communications with a team of 10 translators and offices in Toronto and overseas in Yerevan, Armenia.
