Antonio Viudez-Mora

Senior Research scientist

Atmospheric scientist with over 15 years of experience in climate research, remote sensing, and environmental data analysis, grounded in physics, mathematics, and statistics. My expertise spans atmospheric dispersion modeling, air pollution studies, and multi-sensor data integration, with hands-on work in satellite imagery, radar-LIDAR analysis, and ambient air monitoring.

Proficient in Python, FORTRAN, MATLAB, R, IDL, and shell scripting, and experienced with Linux/Unix and Mac environments. My technical background includes Earth System Models (CESM, CAM6), radiative transfer models (RRTM, MODTRAN, etc.), and transport/chemistry models (HYSPLIT, CAMx). I leverage HPC, parallel processing, and GPU acceleration for large-scale data workflows and climate model validation.

Bring field experience with solar radiation instruments, meteorological stations, radiosondes, and remote sensing systems. Beyond technical expertise, I’m a strong communicator, team player, and independent problem solver, known for adaptability, critical thinking, and continuous learning in fast-paced environments.
