Vivian Vo

  • Hello ! My name is Vivian Vo, born and raised in the peach state of Georgia. Growing up, leadership always stood out to me. In elementary school, I was already tutoring first graders how to read; this was the spark that lead to my desire to help others. Throughout middle school school service was often a big role. I participated in fixing our school garden, picking up recycling, and even became a peer leader ! We got more involved within the school with the help of teachers and mentors. Leadership is so important because through the selflessness of our mentors, we often become leaders ourselves. Then in high school, I took a leadership role in an organization called Future Business Leaders of America and ultimately changed our school's reputation. We won regional, state and national competitions and in the end gained a state officer to represent our school. Along with this presidential position, I was involved in community service such as : AIDS Walk, March of Dimes, Adopt-a-road, and Trunk-a-treat. I was also selected into higher level of peer leading which included hosting an event which resulted in packing 10,000 meal bags for our local community. Then with the help of Chick-fil-a, we funded a 5K to stop human trafficking not only in our area, but also around the globe. The photo shown was the last day of tutoring elementary school kids. We spent a year teaching them how to read and interact with one another with one on one sessions and as a class. The students became more involved and were always excited to have us join their class. It make a proud to know that my actions has had a positive impact on our local community.
