I am youth activist who aspires to a career in education and public service. Currently I have the privilege of serving with City Year Boston as a math tutor, mentor, and coach with third grade students at the Higginson-Lewis 2-8 School in Roxbury (www.cityyear.org). My involvement in this program has allowed me to live out my dream of effecting positive change in Boston’s diverse neighborhoods via teaching, social justice, and active engagement. Prior to City Year, I worked as a Boston Bar Association intern at Pepper Hamilton LLP in the field of Intellectual Property law. Despite the fact that it was often a challenging subject for me to navigate, it opened my eyes to the role of private corporations as vehicles to enact public good. I am a proud Boston Latin School graduate, where I used my public speaking skills, creative writing abilities, and leadership opportunities to grow as both a student and an advocate at my school as well as for my city. I make it a point to bring as much joy as I can to everything I do, whether it be working with children, playing tennis, or performing Spoken Word poetry.
