What’s up, I’m Jerry. I’m a student living in Athens, Georgia. I attend UGA. School is a first priority for me. I intend to major in accounting and get my masters in accounting. Initially accounting wasn't my intended major but after taking the first accounting one of my professors made me gain more interest in it. As I looked in to the career the salary made me gain more interest. Depending on the type of job you Land the life style is different and I'm hoping to land a job that fits my life style preferences.

I am a fan of music, particularly hip hop and rap. When I was younger my sister got me hooked on it. I’m also interested in movies. Some of my favorites include The Godfather series. Another intriguing movie to me is Inception. Christopher Nolan is one of my favorite directors, he also directed the recent dark knight films. His use of unexpected plot twist is an unmatched art that many movies lack. Another interest I hold dearly is sports. Since I was young sports have gained my interest. Jan. Update:

This month we learned about how to properly format a memo. At the beginning there is a subject, to and from line as well as the date. We also learned the 5 factors to communication: sender, receiver, message, channel and feedback. We dug in to the topic of how visuals can impact learning. Textual visuals like bullet points and tables can help individuals remember the information being portrayed.

We learned about the writing process and the steps involved. Planning, drafting and revising are the steps involved. Planning involves analyzing and organizing information. The drafting part consist of just compiling the information, the key thing here is to not aim for perfection. Revising is when you are able to go through and correct what ever errors may lie.

Understanding the nature of text message usage in a business setting was also a topic of discussion throughout the month.
