I often ask myself the question: What is street photography?
Having re-read many books and articles about the direction in photography, I realized that there is no single correct definition of the genre of street photography. From different people and in different books I got completely different answers. Some street photographers say their goal - the feelings and emotions of people, others - that have focused on the urban environment. I, meanwhile, believe that the most successful are those whose work is combined and then, and more. The ability to capture a moment of human interaction with the environment or the situation on the identity of the action - this is for me a true sign of a professional street photography.

But in any case it is based on shooting on the streets. So instead of chasing the sunsets and exotic creatures have to watch ordinary people in ordinary circumstances and to draw it into works of art. Each photographer can make a good shot of the sunset. Of course, here too there is a lot of technical subtleties, but it is still possible to simply point your camera at the sunset sky and get a spectacular shot. Other business street photography. Here we must constantly look for contrasting elements of the environment that will make the picture interesting.

Simply put, in my opinion, the main purpose of street photography - to take the mundane and the mundane and turn it into something magnificent and unique.
