Vladislav Arkhipov is a qualified Russian lawyer (acting as of counsel at Dentons) and associate professor of Saint Petersburg State University with a degree in law. Being a versatile gamer and tracking the development of computer game industry from early 1990s, Vladislav has a deep understanding of computer games. His main practical focus is legal support of computer game launches on the Russian market where he has experience in advising industry leaders on such topics as intellectual property, virtual currencies, content regulation, data transfer and protection. Vladislav has successfully protected IP rights in Russian courts. As a lecturer, Vladislav has developed and delivered such innovative courses as 'Internet Regulation' and 'Public and Private Law in Digital Age', each containing a module on computer games and virtual worlds. He is the author of the first ever Russian peer-reviewed publication on law of virtual worlds. Vladislav speaks Russian, English and Spanish, and will always be happy to discuss any consulting and legal representation opportunities for Russia with computer game industry professionals and companies. Besides this, quite unsuspected for an intellectual property and information technology lawyer as Vladislav is, he has deep training in general jurisprudence and history of law.
