Victoria Johnson
New York, NY
Born and raised in Miramar, Florida, I moved to New York City four years ago to attend The City College of New York (CCNY) and take advantage of all New York has to offer. Now with a B.A. in Communications ( Concentration in Advertising, Public Relations, and Journalism), I plan to begin my Masters in Journalism at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. In addition, I am freelancing in Graphic Design and Photography. So far, I’ve interned at Uptown Magazine, where I was first published in the March/April 2012 issue, Access Network (owner of Vibe Magazine, Uptown Magazine, and Blackbook Magazine), Parlour Magazine and the New York Amsterdam News.
For six years I’ve worked as a freelance graphic designer for companies and people such as Embrace Girls Foundation, Shirley Gibson (The Mayor of Miami Gardens), The Intervarsity Christian Fellowship of CCNY, The University of Florida’s Omega Psi Phi Chapter, The Viva Ville Sports Show, and WCCR 590AM.
Recently, I’ve started learning photography to coincide with my experience in journalism and graphic designing.
