Victoria Miller

I may not be very old or have much experience in life, but I do know a couple of things.

  1. I love my line of work
  2. I love to write
  3. My family and friends mean the world to me

I have worked many jobs in my life in several different carrier fields. I've worked and grew up on a farm in a small town in Idaho. Some other jobs I had were: a lifeguard, fast*food worker, them park ride operator, babysitter, and now a Emergency 911 Dispatcher.

I started writing while I was a freshman in college. Why did it take me so long to start, you may ask? Well I was someone who didn't like English in HS I thought it was stupid, I thought school was stupid and I just wanted to go home and shut out the world. I wasn't the popular kid or even the semi popular. I was the kid to be bullied, the one no one would invite to the after prom parties or any party for that matter.

I was the kid that hated herself because everyone else hated me.

When I started college I promised myself to become someone else and for once be the popular kid. The kid that everyone like and that went to all the parties and knew everyone. The first semester at LCSC was...underwhelming, I was still the shut in and didn't do much but watch Netflix and read my favorite fiction novels.

I started running out of money for food and decided to get a job just something for me to have food since student loans paid for the dorm. I got a job at Taco Time and it was a wonderful experience. I was still quiet and reserved from everyone that I worked with.

I had to take English 90 not because I was stupid or anything but it was because I didn't care about my SAT scores. My teacher in that class Kendal Sands was my hero. She made learning and writing fun. The third day in class I remember meeting this girl Kirsten, she was everything I wish I could have been. She was social, funny, and wasn't shy.

Kirsten and I found out that we lived on the same floor in the same dorm.
