Vincenza Lofino
humanist and humanitarian
I am an Information Management (IM) and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) consultant working in Protection and Migration sectors in favour of refugees, IDPs and most vulnerable communities worldwide.
I have hands-on field experience at Information Management and Analysis processes in Humanitarian operations at global and in-country level, with previous tasks ranging from Reporting, Communications and Fundraising.
Work experiences in Europe (Brussels/Geneva HQs); MENA region (Tunisia/Libya; Syria; Jordan; State of Palestine); West Africa (Togo), East (Somalia) and Central Africa (DRC) on behalf of EU and UN agencies, Red Cross-National Societies, as well as with NGOs and local CSOs.
More than 10 years as International Volunteer (not-paid short missions) in: Lampedusa/Sicily; Samos/Greece; Serbia; Sudan; Brazil; Uganda; Nepal.
- Note: Italian Red Cross volunteer(certifications in: OPEM Emergency operator; OPSOCEM Social worker in Emergency; BLSD operator; OACI International Cooperation Activities operator).
BA and MA degrees in Communications and Intercultural Mediation. Postgraduate diploma in International Cooperation, Development & Emergency at ISPI School of Milan. Italian mother-tongue, I speak fluently English, French, and Arabic (basic, continuous learning).
I consider myself a "Humanist and Humanitarian for passion and profession". Perhaps visionary a bit, and activist: actually, in my spare time I am a passionate cyclist (or Cycle-activist) and I co-founded a local association in Bari (South Italy) engaged in Urban cycling mobility, called Terreno-Cycling Therapy ETS.
For my future I’d love to continue working in the Humanitarian Aid & Emergency settings.
