I na a PhD candidate in Child Studies at the University of Minho (CIEC – Research Centre on Child Studies), funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
I am a music education professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR) and founder of Alecrim Dourado – Musical Education (2010–2023). I received my master’s degree in Music (Musical Cognition) and a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR).
I worked as a guest researcher in the European project SMOOTH – Educational Commons and Active Democratic Participation (H2020). My research interests include early childhood music education, children’s agency, children’s cultures, teacher training, and participatory methodologies. My interdisciplinary work bridges Music, Childhood Studies, and the Sociology of Childhood, focusing on the sociocultural contexts of children’s musical participation.
