I am a scholar of Early Modern English literature and culture, doing research at the Institute of World Literature, Russian Academy of Sciences and teaching literature, translation and academic English at St. Tikhon Orthodox University, Moscow.

I am mainly interested in the formation of the early modern public sphere, theatre and literature working together, self-fashioning, imagination of the other and other forms of destructive creation.

I am also a big fan of F(L)OSS and indie music. I consider myself lucky to be studying authors with works long in public domain :)
