Vidisha Mohad

founder, CEO, and lecturer in Cambridge

I’m Dr. Vidisha Mohad, a scientist–entrepreneur reimagining how we prevent and treat diseases of aging by harnessing the gut–organ axis to extend healthy years of life.

I’m the Founder & CEO of Rasayana Therapeutics and a part-time Lecturer at Harvard Medical School. My north star is simple and audacious: translate cutting-edge biology into medicines that improve millions of lives. At Rasayana, my mission is to make gut health the operating system for treatments that extend human healthspan.

As a biotech entrepreneur and bridge-builder, I connect academia, industry, and venture capital to accelerate ideas into impact. As the former Managing Director of Nucleate Boston, I helped catalyze 60+ life-science startups that have collectively raised $100M+. I received the National Academy of Medicine Catalyst Award (2021) for pioneering work at the interface of aging and gut biology.

I completed my Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and trained in developmental genetics, cellular & molecular biology during my PhD at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I now partner closely with leading clinicians, drug developers, and investors to chart the next era of gut-focused medicines rooted in rigorous, cutting-edge science.

When I’m not heads-down at Rasayana, you’ll find me exploring vineyards from Côte-Rôtie to Bordeaux or chasing VO₂max intervals at the gym.
