About the Author

Ian von Hegner is a scientist, philosopher, futurist and author.

He has besides numerous articles also authored a number of novels on the interaction between science, philosophy and society. Best known books:

"Celestial" 2022 (in Danish 2018);

"Animatus" 2023 (in Danish 2018);

"De Formidable" (in Danish 2023).

Ian von Hegner shares his fascination for life and the universe in his authorship.

He shares his attitude to life, which at the same time is open and full of wonder, but also always stringently skeptical and methodological – combining the coexisting attributes, feeling and thinking that are central to scientific and philosophical edification.

His authorship is thus not characterized by conflict or dystopian scenarios, but is instead founded on a deep optimism that humankind, these amazing adventurous primates, will continue to let science - the distillation and refinement of the noblest and highest traits of their species - strengthen its biological as well as technological development, thus opening up the limitless potential of the future.
