voodoo jewels
Voodoo design springs up from the need to free jewellery from the classical sense of valuable object, linked to the use of precious and expensive material, providing it with a new sort of metropolitan, strong and rebellious character. The idea behind the creation lies in the wake of the most topical design where the uniqueness of the object resides in man’s creative and productive skills rather than in the rarity of materials.
The “une histoire voodoo” collection comes from a blend of tribal atmospheres, distant legends, Gothic emotions and fascination for shamanic rituals. The creative process is fostered by constant research into lightness – typical of Liberty and Art Nouveau creations.
The jewels are made with natural materials such as wood, bone, leather, coarse stones and feathers discovered around Europe during the constant quest for new ideas and new inspirations. They envisage the use of semi-precious materials such as bronze and silver, then are manufactured by hand or through the use of cutting-edge technologies for 3D design. Each hand-made item is unique and like no other, endowed with a magical sort of strength and character so rare as to become truly valuable.
