Veronica Ortiz
As an upcoming senior at Shadow Hills High School, Veronica, being only seventeen, has already landed herself two part-time jobs including, a certified lifeguard at the Palm Desert Aquatics Center and a cashier for a catering company named Best Beverage Catering, which caters major events all throughout California.
Veronica contributes many diverse skills such as being extremely responsible, focused and organized, as well as knowing how to be a part of a team by virture of participating in a gmynastics team for serveral years and making it to the State Championships two years in a row.
Being raised in a hispanic household in Indio, California, Veronica is competent to deliver in both English and Spanish. This has qualified her to engage in the Migrant Program availible in her city. With that said, she applied for the PACE program held at UC Riverside through the Migrant Program and was selected among others to fil the very limited positions available.
Veronica is dearly passionate about music. She plays piano and guitar. The piano is notably her favorite, she is able to spend hours at a time mastering her skills with out growing impatient.
