Valerie Rhodes

Valerie is certified as a Christian Counselor and a Grief and Loss Coach through the American Association of Christian Counselors. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Kansas.

As a cancer survivor and then care-giver for a cancer survivor Valerie has continued to serve others facing cancer as a chronic illness.

As a Christian Counselor she specializes in helping others deal with grief and disaster. Our losses come in many forms.

Following three deaths of a dear lifelong friend and tragic sudden deaths of a cousin and then a great niece Valerie became certified as a Grief and Loss Coach.

In January 2007 after weeks of prayer and supplication the Lord impressed on my heart and mind: “Valerie, I need you to prepare to help others deal with the coming grief and disaster.” I began working with a group that helped patients and their families deal with cancer, and later became certified as a Christian Counselor.

Though changes come through our griefs, disasters, and losses my calling remains unchanged: helping others deal with grief and disaster.
