People Culture, Community Building, and Facilitator in India

Hello! I'm a Biotechnologist turned People & Culture person and it's been an interesting journey all along. I'm passionate about creating impact communities and cursing transformational experiences. I love dancing, specially the Bachata, Kizomba, Salsa kind. I'm happiest around nature and wholesome people and curious about everything.

Now that was a succinct summary, feel free to stop here. Read on for more of my journey.

During a semi-existential crisis as a 19 year old, I realised I wanted to do something meaningful which lead me to find the development sector. I walked into a MAD recruitment and I knew I wanted to be a part of the mission and the passionate community of volunteers.

Cut to two years of teaching English to kids at a children's home and managing ops at the home, I no longer wanted to follow the MS in US plan.

I moved to Bangalore right after college and joined the nonprofit full time as a Director of Operations. The next 5 years were a series of adventures that had growing from leading operations in a few cities to mobilizing 4000 volunteers every year across 23 cities to managing the employee base as Director of Human Capital.

I got really lucky! I found people who always had my back, opportunity to do work that challenged me to be better everyday, chances to question and explore the world and myself, and the right environment for inner work.

I moved on from MAD and was on a sabbatical travelling and consulting across Europe(briefly) and South America. (Ask me about how i spent the first lockdown)

Back in India, I joined my current company rePurpose Global. We're an impact startup on a mission to solve the plastic waste crisis. I get to figure out the future of work in a remote, globally distributed team.
