Vritti Sethi

I am an extremely dedicated and hard working individual who is driven to succeed.

I am a freshman studying Finance & Entrepreneurship at the Kelley School of Business (ranked 8th overall).

I have been a student-athlete since the age of 11 when I first joined the Singapore National Women's Cricket Team. As I was managing my school work and athletic career, I learnt an essential skill: discipline. Thus, I was able to excel academically, because of which I was granted a direct-admission into Kelley. I currently am on the USA Women's National Cricket Team and continue to pursue my passion.

I want to make a difference and one of the causes that is close to my heart is egalitarianism. The game of cricket, even in a progressive country like Singapore, continues to be considered a "men's sport". Moreover, I have met and personally known women players in South Asia who faced inordinate hurdles when they wanted to follow their sporting passions and talents. I want to promote cricket not just as a sport but also a vehicle for social equality.

Other than sports, I have a key interest in innovation. I recently participated in the 2015 Clapp Idea Competition where me and two colleagues developed a 10 page business plan regarding a bike-sharing system. I strongly believe that sustainability must be a core principle for doing business and communities need to adopt sustainable solutions.

I wish to begin my career in consulting before starting my own sports business. A dream would be to work for consulting companies like Boston Consulting Group and Accenture after graduation.
