Vuk Vujnovic

Over the past ten years, Vuk Vujnovic occupied a number of senior positions in government communications, including as Head of the Montenegrin Government’s Public Relations Office in the period from March 2012 to September 2013.

He is one of the originators and the Secretary-General of SEECOM, an international professional association that brings together top public sector communicators from 13 countries of South Eastern Europe, and one of the authors of the Budva Declaration, Europe’s first transnational declaration of core professional and ethical principles of government communication.

Vuk developed a number of initiatives and projects aimed at promoting the principles of open government and greater public participation in policy making, including the Citizens’ Voice, South Eastern Europe’s first government e-petition website. He designed and managed the public engagement campaign “Be Responsible”, winning the Open Government Partnership’s Gold Award on the margins of the UN General Assembly in New York in 2014.

In recent years, he spoke on the topics of public communication, good governance and public diplomacy at events in the United States, UK, Belgium, Italy, Turkey and throughout South East Europe.

Vuk is a member of the Club of Venice, Europe’s oldest and most prominent forum of senior government communicators. In 2012, he became the first-ever European member of the United States National Association of Government Communicators. His articles on public sector communications were published in several leading professional publications, including the Guardian’s Public Leaders Network.
