Providing high-definition surveillance systems to thwart terrorism, crime, and other security risks, Vumii, Inc., specializes in laser, LED, and thermal-imaging surveillance cameras for day and night use. Headquartered in Atlanta, Vumii deploys pan-tilt and fixed-position cameras worldwide to protect everything from military bases and airports to oil fields and nuclear power plants. Vumii technology improves clients' ability to quickly identify and assess security risks and easily integrates with existing defense and security infrastructure. Established in 2004 by industry professionals, Vumii represents three decades of expertise in the research, development, and manufacture of state-of-the-art surveillance systems, with a continued commitment to advance the technology.

Vumii produces two families of infrared-illumination products. Discoverii cameras employ an invisible, continuous-wave, near-infrared laser synchronized with a video imager that uses highly magnified, continuous-zoom optics and provides detailed imagery to more than 3,000 meters. Vumii's Claritii cameras synchronize an invisible, near-infrared LED beam with a medium-range imager that includes continuous-zoom optics, providing detailed imagery to beyond 500 meters in zero light. Other Vumii products include the uncooled thermal camera EyeSec 15-100, the DualSec day/night observation system, and Vumii Sensorii Microsoft Windows software for visualization and control.

Vumii's foresight and efforts help ensure and increase safety at varied locations, including chemical, oil, and gas sites; government installations; key transportation venues; seaports; and other vital infrastructure. For its visionary products, Vumii earned Wall Street Journal Technology of the Year honors in 2008 and Red Herring Magazine's Red Herring 100 North America award, a 2009 award that honored the year's most promising private technology ventures in North America.
