My name is Vutlhari Mahumane and I am from Limpopo in Giyani, currently residing in Beyer’s Park in Boksburg, the East of Ekurhuleni. I attended my high school at Hanyani Thomo High School and obtained my senior certificate in 2014 with fluency in English, Tsonga, Zulu, Venda and Northern Sotho. As for now I am doing my 4 and final year in Bachelor of Education at University of Johannesburg (APK Campus) with English Language and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) as my majoring subjects. I present myself as an eagerly person who is always willing to lend an ear and learn from different people and different settings including educational books, novels, magazines and online spaces. My interests also lies in nature and its wonders hence I describe myself as a Naturalist. During my spare time I exercise because I am obsessed with what our bodies can do and this is how I show appreciation and celebrate this God’s masterpiece.
Throughout my educational journey, I have achieved numerous achievements such certificate for best achiever in Agricultural Sciences in grade 11 and Learner Representative Council President Head Girl during my last year in high school. I have also obtained the UJ undergraduate 70% Average achievement in 2019. In 2020 I decided to enhance my learning and understating of technology and innovation by enrolling for ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE 4 IR online course offered by UJ, where I then obtained the certificate for completion of the course. I consider this achievement the best achievement thus far because of how the course changed my view and perspective of technology in the 4IR. It made me realise the importance of incorporating technology in my teaching in order to develop learner knowledge and skills that are required and necessary to survive and stay relevant in the 21 century which is also called the Digital Century.
