Much of my life has been spent outside. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, swimming, and traveling around. Much of this has been contributed to where I live, which is off the Etowah River, which gives me all the opportunities to enjoy outside even more. My family and I have even built our own rope swing going into the Etowah, which has countless memories with friends, family, and other passers on the river. I have also taken many opportunities to do things outside through joining scouting when I was young. Through scouting, I went white water rafting, hiking, tubing, rock climbing, caving(not for you if you have claustrophobia), mountain biking, camping, and much more. While taking this time to travel around the South Eastern United States, I also worked to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout, which took lots of time and discipline.
Along with scouting and where I live allowing me to enjoy the outdoors, I also have a Jeep wrangler to drive. I love to get friends and take the Jeep through trails in North Georgia on weekends to find new obstacles and large views. Another thing I love to take my Jeep to is going to sound very redneck, but there is this event in Jasper every year called “Jeepfest” where Jeeps from all around the South East come and take trails around Jasper and try the obstacle course located at home base, which includes climbing boulders, going through mud pits or logs and much more. It’s crazy to see the different things people have done to their Jeeps, I am surprised every year.
Regarding traveling, I have been fortunate to have visited six other countries and many of the states. Each of those trips was extremely interesting and exciting to learn about different world cultures and experience them firsthand versus through a book.
