Wachera is a seasoned creative, passionate about the arts and communications with a growing interest in creating diverse, safe, inspirational and accessible spaces for people to connect.

Their work blends art direction and editorial design collaborating with storytelling teams at Everyday Africa, Pulitzer Center, Black Women Photographers, UNICEF, serving on the photography juries for the 2024 World Press Photo contest, the 2024 Standard Chartered Weather Photographer of the Year and the 2024 & 2025 Hamburg Portfolio Review.

Wachera is also a comic artist, having produced a series of period health comic books titled 'Tunu's Gift'.
