Orange County, California

I graduated from CSU Fullerton in 2009 with a major/minor in marketing and advertising. What started out as a college course making one too many campaigns for Hot Pockets turned into an epiphany. So I got an A in the class and plans to attend the Chicago Portfolio School after graduating with my bachelor's degree.

In Chicago, I learned to leave my ego at the door my instructors (all working professionals of the creative industry) picked my work apart. It was both difficult and exhilarating. I never drank as much as I did there.

Then I packed my bags into my little black car to drive back to So-Cal. A speeding ticket, fishtail in the snow, rain storm, frozen account at a gas station in Vegas, and dangerously severe fog weather later, I made it home, tired and beaten with a job interview the very next day.

I'm now happily employed working for an internet group as an acquisitions designer (for clarity's sake, a marketing designer). Working for a smaller group has definitely given me more room to grow and an opinion that (surprisingly) makes a difference. I learn a lot and thrive in this shoes-optional, stocked kitchen, and tech-savvy office culture. The lack of micromanagement allows me to discipline myself and become as efficient as I can be.

But of course, we all grow and expand beyond the walls we live behind. I'm always open to bigger, better opportunities in the creative world. If you like me as a person, then I guarantee you'll love me as a worker.
