Sophie Wake

Hello, my name is Sophie Wake, my favourite hobbies would have to be creating and designing websites, phone apps and Art, using Notepad ++, Appshed, Illustrator and photoshop. I also have a interest in solving problems, researching Myths and Legends, and most importantly reading and photography.

My personal attributes are; my ability to work alone or with a team; coping with stress; being a team leader; being trustworthy; and working hard, in a team i know when to push and when to stand down, as well as how to get the best out of people using their skills.

At college, for my first year i studied: Software Development BTEC, Computing AS, Physics AS. For my second year, i completed the final part of Software Development BTEC so now have a D* overall and will be doing the finall year of Digital Design A level and English Literature A Level. As an additional course i will be taking French As for one year.

I have recently done websites for children and am a Youth Representative for my Church Website. I have also done websites for renting my Uncle's villa, and at the moment am doing a Handyman website for my sister's boyfriend. I am working towards being an IT Programmer specialising in websites and phone apps, in the future, as well as any posters/logos.....etc.... That enables creativity.

My future plan is to go to Brighton University to study Digital Media, where alongside this 4 year course i will study French so that in the last 4 or 5 months of my degree i will go and study in France to complete the final stages of my degree. This way i will be bilingual, so i can work either in France or England, and work with international partners.

My ideal job would be either to create websites, design and create online logos or advertisements, create animations or do something along the lines of photography. I'm pretty flexible and would like to do either, once i start university next September i will have a better idea of what area i want to work in, but definitely something to do with computers. For now i will continue working on the tills in Waitrose.
