Elie Wakim

Currently I am the VP magazines and formats for AWI group the leading Magazine Unit of the Group and have been working with the group for the past 10 years moving in several units across the region mainly in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates Lebanon and Syria. Before becoming VP I was Group Commercial Director for all the publications mainly Al Hayat, Laha, Layalina, Marie Claire and Al Waseet and have initiated the licensing’s trend in the region in adapting the content to local aspirations and ambitions. Graduated from Sorbonne Paris – France with Master degree in business strategy major Economics and have worked with several multinational companies in Europe and in the region with a career in Marketing between luxury products to casual dining restaurants. Attended several training sessions in the US, Europe and the MENA, and speaker in several forum related to the industry. I always have been active socially in several Associations and NGO amongst them the Lebanese red cross and co founder of Lebanus association to help Lebanese students in need to continue their studies, Scouts du Liban and others. Besides a busy schedule of travel and work I try to find time to practice my hobbies in diving, squash and discovering new places in the world
