Jared Walden

I am an enthusiastic student majoring in Finance and Economics. I am a strong believer in the "work hard play hard mentality" and try to live my life by it. I take my schoolwork very seriously and while in college it is my one and only concern but I still try to fill a lot of my time up with laughs and good times.

On top of my school work, I believe exercise to be very important. I think it's a great way to ease tension and clear your mind. I am apart of a Basketball league that plays Mon, Wed, and Friday and on my off days I try to find time to lift.

I try to spread my time out to an array of different activities. Another big piece to my life is my Social Life. My freshmen year I took a leap of faith and decided to join a fraternity. I am a brother in Alpha Episilon Pi and it is by far the best part to my College experience. The friends and relationships I have created through the fraternity will last a lifetime. It is a brotherhood in every shape and form. These men are my family and have helped me through every problem small or large since I have joined. The picture posted is me on big brother night with my big brother. I am on the left with the afro. I no longer look like that unfortunately.

On another note, traveling is also a huge passion of mine. I love to travel with my friends, my family, and even on my own. I have been lucky enough to travel to a vast array of places; from the canals in venice to the nearly 600 year old city in the sky, macchu picchu. I have spent time traveling throughout israel for many months on my own and with friends. I am about to embark on my next journey with one of my closest friends next semestet in Prague which is where I will be studying abroad.

I try my very best to do as much as I can with the time I have. I want to take advantage of every single opportunity I get because who knows what tomorrow will bring.
