Albert (Bert) Waldus
Dearborn, Michigan
Bert Waldus is a physical therapist with experience in a variety of health care settings. Bert has been working as a physical therapist in nursing homes, clinics, hospitals, and home care for over twenty years.
After Bert worked for twenty plus years in the field, he decided to go back to school to expand his knowledge in the area of physical therapy and signed up for a tDPT (transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy) program. In May 2012, Bert graduated from Utica College as a DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy).
During the study, Bert had to do a great deal of research and writing. Bert's feelings about writing changed over the course of the study from mildly disliking to mildly liking it.
Bert tries to keep that positive momentum going by continuing to write and research.
Bert wants to share his old and new thoughts on blogs and websites to inform people on topics related to physical and mental health. Bert hopes the posts will be informative and the beginning of a 'healthy' conversation about current topics and ideas.
Bert tries to start his interactive blogs with a scientifically -based short post to get the discussion started. However, anyone is welcome to react with questions and/or comments, either from their own experience, from readings/listenings, or scientifically based conclusions/comments.
Please, read Bert's posts and decide if you want to comment and add something to the discussion in a positive supportive way, a constructive challenging way, or with a question.
Hope to read your comments soon.
