Dr Wale Ahmed, member, Nigerian Medical Association, Society for International Relations & Diplomacy and Nigerian Red Cross Society was born on May 3, 1965. For his elementary education, he attended Bishop Oluwole Memorial Primary School, Agege, where he secured the First School leaving Certificate in 1977.

He proceeded to Anwar-ul-Islam College, Agege, and came out with the West African School Certificate (WASC) in 1982. Thereafter, he enrolled at the Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto, where he studied Medicine bagging the Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MB.BS) degree in 1991.
Later, he went to the University of Lagos, Akoka, for his postgraduate Studies and came out with Master in International Law & Diplomacy in 2000; and Master in Humanitarian Studies in 2002.

Dr. Ahmed was House Officer at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Kaduna, after which he went on the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme as Medical Officer with Nnewi South Local Government Area, Anambra State. Thereafter, he started his working career in the medical field as Medical Director, Noble Medical Centre, Agege, from 1995-1998.

His romance with party Politics started in 1999 when he was elected Member, Lagos State House of Assembly under the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and made Chairman, House Committee on Health, a capacity in which he sponsored the motion for free treatment of accident victims within the first 24 hours and which the then Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu immediately adopted as a cardinal health policy of the State.

He crossed over and contested for the Federal House of Representatives in Agege under the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in 2007 elections. He became the Publicity Secretary of PDP in Lagos State up till January 2011, after which he crossed to the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), where he served as Member, State Publicity Committee of the Party in the April 2011 General Elections.

DR. Wale Ahmed, an astute and altruistic politician, was called to serve as Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties by Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) in July 2011.

He is a member of Rotary Club, Gbagada; member, Ikeja Golf Club and member, Ivory Health Club. He enjoys travelling, reading and socializing at his leisure.
