A passion for the environment and outdoors from a young age has motivated me to pursue life from a sustainable angle. I am a student in the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at the University of Washington in Seattle. Field research has been a staple in my undergraduate career, studying everything from shorebirds on the Great Lakes to Tigers and exotic birds in Thailand, and gray whales, river otters, and orcas in the Pacific Northwest, providing me with an extensive background in science. My newest educational pursuits revolve around cultivating sustainabile communities and food sources by improving the connections between the scientific world and the public.
