Wallace Wood

A native of Houston, Texas ("Space City, USA"), my long-time focus and interest has been about the future. Though not a "professional" futurist or futurologist, my writing, research and reporting has been from that perspective since the late '60s/early '70s. My focus is on the future of politics, economics and culture.

My first book (1974) was "Cashless Society: A World without Money." Ten years before the Internet, I talked about the day when a "central computer" would oversee every financial transaction we make. At the time, I called it "CenCom" (central computer).

My next book (2000) was "The Embedded Internet: The Final Evolution." The day would eventually come when the Internet would be embedded in everything you touch and everything that touches you."
