Wallace Yovetich

A dedicated educator commanding extensive experience working with elementary school-aged children, Wallace Yovetich most recently served as Lead Teacher for Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool in Los Angeles, California. Spearheading and managing the school’s middle-aged classroom, Wallace Yovetich prepared lessons and taught the oldest and middle-aged students in the afternoon and prepared portfolios evaluating each student’s development. Wallace Yovetich met routinely with parents, administration, and special education consultants to discuss her students’ progress and strategize how best to serve them. Wallace Yovetich joined Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool by way of Our Lady of Fatima School in Artesia, California, where she taught sixth grade homeroom as well as of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade science, social studies, and art. Leading extracurricular activities as well, she presided as Director of the Yearbook, Assistant Coach of Decathlon, and Head Coach of the Decathlon Geography section. Once a month, she supervised disciplinary consequence sessions as well. Prior to accepting a position with Our Lady of Fatima School, Wallace Yovetich functioned as a CREST (Childhood, Recreation, Education, Sports, Together) teacher of second and third grades at McKinley Elementary School in Santa Monica, California. Collaborating with her students’ families, she taught enrichment programs and supervised children between kindergarten and third grade age. Wallace Yovetich first entered the classroom as a third grade student teacher at Merwin Elementary School in West Covina, California, where she observed, drafted, and delivered lessons. She subsequently transitioned to Rowland Elementary School, also in West Covina, for which she first acted as a student teacher in a second and third grade combination classroom and later operated as a long-term substitute teacher for two second grade classrooms. Active in the educational community, Wallace Yovetich belongs to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the North American Reggio Emilia Alliance (NAREA), the Library Foundation of Los Angeles’ Young Literati, and the California Teacher’s Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of the Pacific in Stockton and her Multiple Subject Credential from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa.
