Wally DiCioccio
I'm an aspiring Italian-American screenwriter/comedian. For the past several years I've been working as a freelance humor novelist and illustrator. I graduated from Villa Maria College, where I majored in fine arts.
While in college, I developed an interest in stand-up comedy after reading Jerry Seinfeld’s book, “SeinLanguage,” and decided to try out at a popular open mic night in town. Soon after, I hosted my very own open mic night at a top-notch Mexican restaurant nearby. Establishing myself as a clean comic the whole family can enjoy, I've been performing in the comedy circuit (on and off) for several years now. I've performed a little here and there, from intimate bars and restaurants in Western New York to famous comedy clubs on the East coast.
I've written the spec scripts, “Rusty Copper,” “Joey Bagadonuts,” and "Sal From the Bronx." Also, I've written and illustrated “I’m Serious,” which is a sharp-witted humor novel, “Zeeby Saves the Day,” a colorful children’s book, a novel version of “Joey Bagadonuts,” and a colorful children's book adaptation of "Rusty Copper" (each available anywhere books are sold).
In my spare time, I like watching movies, drawing cartoons, going out for coffee, reading autobiographies, and buying/trading DVDs. Also, I enjoy listening to Alternative Rock, rooting on the Yankees, painting, and being creative. In addition to that, I'm a nostalgia junkie--I collect tons of Hollywood knickknacks and whatnots.
