Wallace Ryan Kuroiwa

I was born and raised in Honolulu, son of immigrants from Japan. Raised in a family of six children, I graduated from Kalani HS in 1961. I received my BA in philosophy from University of HI, M.Div, from Golden Gate Seminary, Th.M. from Duke, Ph.D from Emory. I married Jayne Ryan in 1982, and we have two grown children, Jess and Gillian. I have taught in a variety of academic settings, served as a minister, and worked in justice for the United Church of Christ. I love golf, am fanatic about the SF 49ers and Giants and Duke basketball. Now partially retired, I help churches as an interim pastor.
