Walt Lamberg is a writer, editor, songwriter, and veteran living in Pueblo, Colorado. He served a 13-month tour of duty with the 2nd Infantry Division, in South Korea. He was an editor of the original screenplay for Casualties of the State and is an associate with Corner Film Productions.

He has published Death and Downsizing, a murder mystery novel; Wild Horseback Ride, a contemporary fiction short story collection; The Club, a short story set in Vietnam; a short story series about life in the Army from 1968 to 1970, For the Good Guys in the Army; and, a spin-off series about the life of the central character, Hirsch.

He has also co-authored a college textbook for Rand McNally, a language arts textbook and workbook series for Scott Foresman and Company, and a grammar workbook series for Steck-Vaughn. He is the author of a high school workbook series on basic writing skills for Media Materials.
