Charles Swann (Walsall) Ltd has been in existence since the early 1900s. Charles Swann was always a solid fuel merchant originating, it is believed, in the 1920's. The small sole-trader enterprise operated from a wooden shed in the rail headed goods yard at Bradford Place in Walsall.
