Walt Raines

Currently, I am the founder of Raines Financial Services in Salem, VA. I spent a successful year and a half at Modern Woodmen of America before starting this venture. Before that, I spent 24 years in education as an Adminstrator, English Teacher and Basketball Coach. I have a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Regent University in 2007, and Bachelor Degrees in English and P.E., from Marshall University in 1984. Go Herd! I graduated from Kermit High School in West Virginia in 1979, I spent my 7th through 10th grade years in Summerville, South Carolina. Before that I also lived in Raleigh, NC and Hopewell, VA. Coaching basketball was always my passion, and I coached for over 20 years in the State of Virginia. I enjoy sports, travelling, spending time at the Beach, hiking and fishing and just hanging out with family. I also love movies and reading books.
