Having your own port available to you and your equipment is a big advantage. But it takes a lot more than that. Here are some tips to help you be prepared:

1. Prepare Beforehand

Know the weather conditions and prep all your machines for the climate that you might encounter along the way. The preparations that you have ensured should include the assurance that your equipment can withstand the air conditions or possible rainfall. This means that you have to upgrade all the systems inside the machine. Hydraulics, engine, fuel and radiators should be checked and reviewed. Even if the path isn’t as remote and unfamiliar and have been trodden a lot of times, you still have to take extra precautions.
