Wanda Canaan

Hi, I’m Wanda . I’m a teacher living in Ottawa , Ontario Working in a private school. I am a fan of music, travel, and arts. I’m also interested in cycling and dance. For fifteen years of my life I have worked in a Canadian international school from kindergarten to grade 12. Our school is accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education in Canada and the Ministry of Education in Egypt. During my tenure at the school, I have taught Core French, French Immersion and all other French language subjects at all levels, Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Senior. My teaching assignments have included teaching, language arts, math, science and technology, and social studies in French. I also have experience teaching math, science and technology in English. As the school's French leader, I have implemented and supervised the French Immersion and Core French programs. I worked collaboratively with teachers to ensure that curriculum expectations were met as well as to provide support in the area of assessment and the Ontario Report Card. I also introduced and implemented the Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française -DELF. As a DELF certified trainer, I trained staff in the DELF program and test administration. I worked closely with the French Cultural Center of Egypt in the coordination and administration of the DELF exam in our school. Looking forward to work and learn with you all.
