Leo Wan

My Name is Leo, I'm currently a Grade 10 student attending Oakville Trafalgar High School. One of my strongest hobbies is to work with computers! I love how computers work and I love to learn about computers. In school, I took computer related courses every year to obtain more computer skills, outside of school, I make simple software programs and look up other computer facts. I also try to learn a new topic every week!

In essence, I'm happy to obtain new understanding about computers.

Besides my passion about computers, I also love to play tennis, making and playing games, reading, travel to new places, I'm planning to travel to Hawaii after high school because that where I wanted to go since I was a kid. And also, as much as I like to be indoors working with computers, I also like to go outside and bike, whenever I get tired programming or working on a project, I take my bike and go outside for a couple of laps.

Some of my expertise are:

• remote control and server maintenance
• programming in Java and Python
• Animation and model building
• Web design, HTML, CSS, Java Script
• Computer hardware understanding and application
• Simple software building and design

I have volunteered at Islington Junior Middle School as a camp helper. During my volunteer period, I have worked and lead small children, organized and planned camp events and field trips. Leading my camp group to the gym at the end of day for parents to pick up and are also responsible for the children's safety and behavior.

I have also had a part time job at a grocery store as a general helper to be exact. I did a lot of things. I organized item and groceries on the shelves; I helped transport groceries to the store; Sometimes I work as a cashier and sometimes I clean up messes and spills. Basically a general helping role.
