Shawn Ward

My name is Shawn Ward, a born and raised Winnipegger who is proud of my roots in my hometown on the Canadian Prairies. I'm a very active person, participating in all sorts of sports and activities and have a particular soft spot for my CFL hometeam, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

I'm the current owner and operator of a small, Winnipeg based company called Bijou Photobooths. The business idea bloomed at a friend and business partner's wedding back in 2011. With a crude but effective set up, it was encouraged by friends and family to create a photobooth business focused on positive customer relationships and great communication. From there, Bijou Photobooths was launched in 2012 and it has quickly become a successful and well known business in the world of weddings and socials for Winnipeg and southern Manitoba. In 2014, Bijou photobooths was sold in its entirety to myself, while my business partner and his wife moved to another province to pursue aspirations of continued success.

In the early months of 2014, I became the sole owner and operator of Bijou Photobooths and have had great experiences throughout this year thus far. My friends and family have been great and the business would not have grown as much as it has without their encouragement and support.

My love of sports and entertainment pushed me to finish with a degree in recreation management and community development from the University of Manitoba. I have had a great deal of exerperience in the hospitality industry and customer service and have had many influencial roles that have shaped my vision and passion for quick and responsive communication to all of my customers.
