Veronica WARD TORCHIA

Student, EQUALITY AGENT, and PHD in BURGOS

Verónica Ward (Burgos, 1996) is a social educator and social anthropologist. The daughter of Argentine migrants, she has lived most of her life in Spain, with extensive experience living and researching in Argentina. She is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Gender Studies at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and in Specific Didactics at the University of Burgos (UBU), developing transnational and interdisciplinary research.

Her career lies at the intersection of social education, anthropology, and gender studies, with a critical, situated, and decolonial approach. She has participated in teaching activities at the University of Burgos and has been part of projects and academic spaces related to critical pedagogies, intersectional feminisms, and the collective production of knowledge.

Committed to a situated research ethic, her academic work is articulated with a career of activism and social participation, through which she promotes collective practices aimed at deconstruction, social transformation, and gender justice.
