Stephanie Wark

Born Stephanie Michelle Wark on October 13th 1993, I was destined to help people from the first time I helped my brother get into
trouble as a baby.

I am an 18 year old (almost 19) female who has a passion for horses. But what girl doesn't right? Unfortunately for my parents, my passion
turned into a very expensive hobby.

I have been riding horses since I was 5 and a half. I
started out as a recreational rider but quickly became very competitive. I competed in my first competition at 11 and was hooked. Since then I have been
working like crazy to become as good as I can be with the resources I have to work with. Unfortunately my parents cut me off when I was 16 so I had to find
my own way to pay for my hobby. Once they saw me get a job and stick to it they quickly saw that this was not just some hobby for me, it was my life.

In November of 2011 I finally saved up enough money to buy my own horse after riding other people's horses for 11 years. When I turned 17 I got interested in teaching some of the younger girls at the barn. With the assistance of my coach Jeff who I have been with my whole career, I was able to begin my instructing career.

As of present I am working on getting certified by Equine Canada as a beginner instructor and eventually I plan to be certified as a competition coach.

My goals in life are to have my own full service equestrian lesson and boarding facility. With the help of my Business Management and Entrepreneurship program that I am currently taking at Algonquin College, I hope to obtain all the knowledge I need to reach my goal.

My passion for horses very quickly turned into the drive and desire to meet my goals and help other kids meet their full potential as equestrians.
