Warne Wilson

Writer in Maleny, Australia

Hi everyone, my name is Warne Wilson and I come from the land down under. I live with my wife Muriel in beautiful sub tropical Queensland on the range overlooking the coast about seventy miles north of Brisbane. I retired from a hectic business life years ago and I spend my mornings writing. I have won prizes for short stories in competitions; one of them published in an anthology. I have published several ebooks on Amazon Kindle; LANCASTER BOMBER TAIL GUNNER is doing surprisingly well; Please have a look at it on Amazon and if you could part with 99c US I would be delighted if you could buy it and leave a short review. I have just finished a long work written in fits and starts across 14 busy years, 202,000 words. I have edited this into a series of ebooks of still respectable length specifically for Kindle. THE YOUNG REMITTANCE MAN - an old family legend passed down to me about a lad who got into trouble in England, and was sent out to Australia during the 1850s gold rush with a regular remittance provided until he became established. I have brought the story alive by weaving in romance, gold mining dramas and the battle of Eureka Stockade.

A review written by a reader of BOOK 1, "I quite enjoyed this historic tale about John and his clash with the law followed by a wonderous journey across the sea aboard Lady Beverley to Australia. I must say I liked the older style of writing despite it not being my usual genre of choice. and I look forward to finding out where the blossoming romance between Bernadette and John takes them. A story quite remarkable of a man on the run many years gone, I recommend it well worth a read."

My other interests are our family, my vegetable garden, my woodworking club and constant jobs around the house.

I have passed the octogenarian mark but as you can see I still have a twinkle in my eye. I keep very active and the days are never long enough.
