Warren Albrecht

Aspiring support worker in Bournemouth, United Kingdom

Hi, I’m Warren. I'm 32, have recently moved down to Bournemouth and I'm looking for a new job and career change. Over the years I've worked in many different roles from customer service to trade work, but I'm looking for a change and would love a chance to work in the care industry. My motivation is to do something meaningful and productive with my time, and being a support worker and contributing to someone's life would certainly fulfill that.

Although I don't yet have any direct work experience in this role, I think I have the perfect personality to excel - I am naturally a caring, friendly and patient person. I like to think I can relate to, and get on well with people of all ages and backgrounds.

In my personal experience I've had close relatives that have, towards the end of their lives, relied on the support of carers to live independently and in assisted living. I've had close relatives who have suffered with serious mental health problems and have relied on the assistance of care workers. I've also personally helped a close family member with ongoing mental health support in cooperation with assigned case workers. It's through experiences like this that I've developed empathy for those in vulnerable situations, and which is why I have a strong desire to be in a position to make a difference to those in need.

For the job itself, I'd be very willing to work towards a social care qualification to gain relevant skills and knowledge. Also although I don't currently have a driving licence, I am a competent driver and will be getting the licence in the coming weeks - I know this is a requirement for many roles.

So again, although I don't have the work experience as of yet, I would greatly appreciate the chance to prove that I'd be great for the role. If you have a trainee position open in this field, and you think I might be a good fit, please use the button above to get in touch.

Thanks!
